Town Manager Update 5/12/2026

At the May 11, 2026 Town Council Meeting, Councilors Rand, Rojo, Hannington, and Ireland voted to appoint Wade Shaefer as Interim Town Manager effective immediately.

Shaefer currently serves as Senior Pastor of Swans Island Church of God, a role he will continue while serving as Interim Town Manager. Shaefer comes to Lincoln after a multi decade career in the furniture, appliance, and bedding rental business and ministry. Shaefer owned and operated At Home, INC, formally Mainely Rent To Own from 2016 until the company closed in 2025. Prior to ownership, he worked for Mainely Rent to Own beginning in 1993.

Wade moved to Lincoln when he was 12 and is a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy. He currently resides in Lincoln with his wife, Rena and is the proud father of three adult daughters, as well as a son-in-law and five grandchildren. Shaefer is also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
