Service is now available to Lincoln
residents as well as any other individuals with the "794"
telephone exchange!
In the event of emergency, residents should
always dial 911. The call
will be answered by Penobscot Regional Communication Center.
As a result of this change, 794-6511 will be discontinued
in 90 days. Any businesses having alarm systems pre-programmed
to this number need to contact their alarm company and make
other arrangements within 90 days. Alarm companies should be
notifying Penobscot Regional Communications Center at 942-7911.
The telephone number 794-2221 will be used as a non-emergency complaintnumber. The
administrative lines for the Public Safety Building are 794-8455
and 794-2610.
Get
involved in your community!!! The Town
of Lincoln is seeking Lincoln residents to serve on various
boards and committees. We have openings on the Appeals
Board, Recreation Committee, Library Advisory Committee and
Planning Board. If you are interested, simply fill out the
Citizen Participation Form and return it to the Town Clerk!
TheLincoln Regional Food Cupboard no
longer has a telephone. The food cupboard is open every
Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. For emergencies,
contact Gilberte Mayo at the town office 794-3372.

has just launched it's
Virtual Clerk program where residents and professionals
alike can retrieve tax information, real estate information,
valuation figures, exemptions, sales data, property tax
amounts, etc. Click on the "Property Info" button on
the left or the Virtual Clerk link above.
Know your property tax exemptions:
If you haven't already, you should file for your $13,000
Homestead Exemption reduction in the valuation of your
residence--it's an average annual savings of $237.12.
Also, if you haven't already, you should file for your
$5,000 Veterans Exemption--it's an average annual savings of
$91.20.

exemption, call or contact Ruth Birtz at the Town Office.
