3rd & 4th Grade Football

Program Description:

Program focused on the basics of football and the fundamentals of being part of a team. Skills needed in football are also taught.

Fee:

$20 resident/ $45 non-resident

5th & 6th Grade Football

Program Description:

Cheering (fall)

Program Description:

Program focuses on basic skills of cheering and fundamentals of being part of a team. Cheerleaders will be at all home recreation department football games.

Field Hockey

Program Description:

The fundamentals of field hockey will be taught while having fun.

Fee:

$10 resident/ $15 non-resident

Program Description:

Program focuses on basketball skills at a more competitive level, being part of a team, and having fun. Team travels for games.

Whiz Kids Basketball

Program Description:

Designed to introduce participants to basic basketball terminology and fundamentals.

Arts & Crafts

Program Description:

Children participate in activities such as painting, tie dying, necklaces & bracelets, picture frames and more. Weekly themes.

Basketball Clinic

Program Description:

Designed to help children work on their basketball skills in a fun, non-competitive environment. This clinic is co-ed.

Farm League

Program Description:

The Recreation Department’s Farm League program is geared toward all children ages 7 and 8. The goal of the program is to provide the participants with fundamentals necessary to baseball and to promote social development. In the first 2 weeks of the program the teams participate in practices, and the final 4 weeks are spent playing games, which are incorporated into these practices.

Field Hockey Clinic

Program Description:

This program is designed for girls from grades 6th-12th. The fundamentals of field hockey will be taught while having fun.

$12 resident/$20 non-resident

Free Swim

Program Description:

Program for all ages to swim. Lifeguards on duty during Free Swim.

Soccer Clinic

Program Description:

This program focuses on the basic rules of the game, and will allow kids to play in a fun, non-competitive setting. This is a co-ed program for ages 5-15.

Swimming Lessons

Program Description:

Children ages 3 and up can register to learn to swim. Certified instructor/student ratio is 1:6. These lessons focus on the individual needs of the student, individual safety, and to make swimming an enjoyable experience.

$20 residents/$30 non-resident

T-Ball

Program Description:

Children ages 5 and 6 learn basic skills and rules of baseball. This is an instructional program with an emphasis on learning and fun.

$5 resident/ $10 non-resident

Tennis

Program Description:

This program is for children ages 7 and up. This is an instructional program designed to teach children the fundamentals of tennis. Each child will be given a skills evaluation at the end of the program.

Track & Field

Program Description:

For children ages 5 to 15. This program instructs children in all elements of Track & Field. There are weekly competitive track meets. Successful participants may advance to regional and state meets.

Hiking Club

Program Description:

This program is for participants of all ages.  Beginner hiking around the Greater Lincoln area with the final trip being a hike up Mt. Katahdin.
